    Nettle

With organic nettle and rosemary essential oil

Crafted by hand in the traditional cold process style of soap making using oils and fats such as shea butter, avocado oil, almond oil and hemp oil. This soap is particularly suitable as a hair soap. The nettle powder and the oil macerate from fresh nettle contained in it are said to have the ability to regulate the function of sebaceous and sweat glands. Itchy, dry or even flaky scalps in particular breathe a sigh of relief after washing with my nettle-rosemary soap, as it thoroughly removes dirt and metabolic toxins and neutralizes acids thanks to its alkaline pH value.

Weight: Net weight approx. 95g fresh weight
All of my soaps are handmade and hand cut, so size, shape and design may vary from bar to bar.

    Fragrance
This soap is scented with essential rosemary oil.

    Main ingredients
Shea Butter is an excellent, rich and nourishing moisturizer that reduces the appearance of fine lines and leaves skin silky smooth.
Green avocado oil moisturizes phenomenally well and has a strong antioxidant effect. It has an anti-inflammatory effect and is therefore ideal for impure skin that is prone to blackheads, pimples and large pores.
Hemp seed oil contains many essential fatty acids that can be absorbed directly by the skin. They have a positive effect on the skin's natural protective barrier, the acid-lipid coat, which ensures that moisture remains in the skin. Has a calming and anti-inflammatory effect.
Almond oil leaves skin hydrated and smooth. It also soothes dry and irritated skin by regenerating damaged cells. Almond oil naturally contains plenty of nutrients, especially vitamin E, the so-called tocopherol, which is often added to anti-aging products

    Application of hair soap
    1. Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water.
    2. Lather the soap in your hand with water.
    3. Massage the foamed bar of soap directly onto the scalp.
    4. Distribute the foam well through the hair.
    5. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
    6. If necessary, lather the hair a second time and wash it out.

In case of eye contact, rinse eyes well with clean water.

After washing with hair soap: rinse your hair with the “acid rinse”
When using hard water in combination with soap, lime soap can form: a whitish deposit that settles on the hair or brush. If the hair is rinsed with a so-called acid rinse after shampooing, these deposits are removed and the hair is given more shine at the same time.
To do this, add 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice to a liter of cold water and pour it all over your hair or dip your long hair in it. It is not necessary to rinse out the rinse.

    Tips for hair soap beginners:
It can take a few washes for your hair to switch from shampoo to soap. Especially if a shampoo containing silicone was previously used, it will take some time until the silicone is completely washed out.

If your hair is still greasy after washing, you should repeat soaping your hair once or even twice next time.

If white deposits have formed in the hair or brush, this is due to the hard water. Then be sure to rinse with an acidic rinse. If the water has a very high lime content, more apple cider vinegar or lemon juice should be used.

Every hair is different. You have to try out whether one of my hair soaps or a solid shampoo is suitable for you.

Tips to extend the life of your soap
Place your soap in a bowl that drains (not flat on the tile or in a non-draining dish!) and make sure it doesn't get wet between uses. This is optional, but it will definitely help your soap last longer.

    Ingredients:
Babasu Oil (Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil), Water (Aqua), Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis Seed Oil), Lye (Sodium Hydroxide), Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima Oil), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Fruit Butter), Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil) , Hemp Oil (Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil), Nettle Powder (Urtica Dioica Leaf Powder) Rosemary Essential Oil (Rosmarinus Officinalis)

Allergens naturally contained in the essential oil: Linalool, Linonene

    About me
All of my products are handmade by me in very small batches in my studio in St. Gallen. My soap is cold process soap, meaning I make the recipe from scratch with full control over all the ingredients. Each bar of soap is aged for 4 to 6 weeks. This ensures that all of the water has evaporated and results in a harder bar of soap that lasts longer.

Tips to extend the life of your soap

Place your soap in a bowl that will drain (not flat on the tile or in a non-draining bowl!) And make sure it doesn't get wet between uses. This is optional, but it will definitely help your soap last longer

How long do your soaps mature?

My soaps mature 4 to 6 weeks open on the shelf so that they can dry well. My pure olive oil soap needs to mature for at least 6 months or more.

What do you use titanium dioxide for?

I use titanium dioxide to lighten the soap, depending on the raw materials, the natural soap can be green, yellow or brown. In nature, titanium dioxide is widespread in the form of the minerals rutile and ilmenite (together with iron). Titanium dioxide is non-toxic and not harmful to water.

Which soap for extremely dry skin?

All of my natural soaps are suitable for dry skin. Milk soaps in particular are ideal for dry skin.

PH of soaps, don't they dry out the skin?

Definitely no. Natural soaps (please do not confuse them with industrial soaps) are always basic. The pH value is 8.5 - 10. This is absolutely harmless to our skin. Amniotic fluid. E.g. has a pH value of 8.5 and let's be honest, is there a more beautiful and softer skin than baby skin?

    What is NaOH?

NaOH aka caustic soda or sodium hydroxide is an essential ingredient in soap production. Our lye is made from common table salt dissolved in water, and electrodes add electricity to the mixture, creating chloride, hydrogen and lye. This material has been used in natural soap production for centuries. When used correctly, it can help make safe natural products. However, according to European cosmetic laws, you will not find sodium hydroxide on our labels as it is not included in the end products.

    Can children use natural soaps?

Yeah sure! Children in particular benefit from the mild cleaning and natural care

    Custom and personalized orders

Yes, of course I can. Just contact me directly, then we can discuss it.

Where do your raw materials come from?

It is very different. Raw materials such as rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, hemp oil, goat and sheep milk, honey, herbs and plants come from Switzerland.
Well-known raw materials such as coconut oil, shea butter, babassu oil, olive oil, grape seed oil etc. are often very transparent and easily traceable (fair trade etc.) available from wholesalers in the respective country. I don't use palm oil.

I try to avoid other raw materials or to reduce their consumption. Often I have to rely on my feelings. Transparency is important to me so that I and my customers can decide yes or no.
